Make rice three times this week using three different techniques — plain water, broth, and toasted. Compare the results.

Make plain white rice using the 1:2 ratio method (water, covered, 18 min, rest 5 min)

Make broth rice — same method but substitute chicken or vegetable broth for water

Make toasted rice — toast dry rice in butter or oil for 2-3 minutes before adding liquid
4
Eat all three and note the flavor differences
